The interesting thing about balantis xo is, it hasn’t become common or disruptive enough to be any widespread research on it. While there are thousands of studies on things like diabetes, alzheimers and cancer, balantis xo studies are hard to come by.
Therefore, all evidence about which treatments work and which don’t is usually anecdotal.
This is a shame, because as we know BXO can have a huge mental toll on you, and is also highly disruptive to having a normal sex life and self confidence in general. When the only medically recognised solutions are steroids and circumcision, the situation can feel rather dire.
Luckily, the internet allows us to find people who have found ways to cure balantis xo naturally and help each other out.
One thing I’ve said before is that the key to curing balantis xo is to encourage regeneration of the skin. That involves first, the peeling of old skin, and second, the emergence of new, healthy skin. This is a natural cycle the body goes through – we simply need to nurture it to do so. This is precisely how I cured my own BXO.
So encouraging peeling of the skin is the first thing.
And the answer is yes, tea tree oil can be helpful in this sense, because this is exactly what tea tree oil does.
If you’re unsure what tea tree oil is, it’s a plant native to Australia and is used medicinally in many ways by the indigenous population there, with great success. All pharmacies in Australia now stock tea tree oil as a herbal remedy for many things, including skin infections, rashes, antiseptic and so on.
I was first introduced to tea tree oil during my wrestling days, where people used it often for staph infections. One thing I noticed when I first used it was it often caused the skin around the wound to peel off. This is where I got the idea to start using it for bxo.
One thing you should know about tea tree oil is it is very potent. If you use it on its own it is very easy to burn the skin, so it’s important to mix it with a carrier oil such as coconut oil, or mix it with a moisturizer.
So how do you use it for BXO?
I like to apply it overnight.
I’ll mix a drop with a finger of moisturizing cream, rub it together with my hands and then apply it over the glans and foreskin. Then I’ll sleep with the foreskin retracted, which will allow the skin to breathe once it has all been absorbed.
If you’re lucky, you might see a healthy peel within a couple of days.
I usually cycle this with a variety of other treatments, all of which are described in my article Healing BXO Naturally. I’ve been bxo free for over a year now, and my entire regimen is detailed in that article. If you’re suffering from bxo and looking for ideas, I highly recommend reading it. All the best with your treatment!
